My name's Anders. A few weeks ago I ordered a pair of really neat new spectacles for myself at iris Optical. It has been a long and quite tiring wait, but now they have finally arrived. This blog is dedicated to my new, fantastic spectacles, and should have some very interesting content for both near-sighted AND far-sighted people. You might even find this interesting if you only wear spectacles as accessories, you little hipster.
They arrived today in a small box, delightfully minimalistic in its design and approach to delivery and aesthetic beauty. I am sure the postman was just as exited about delivering this lovely box as I was about receiving it. I will walk you through the opening of the package, step by step, so that you can take part in this with me.
THE BOX
The spectacles arrived in a box that I would call nothing less than spectacular. In the words of the great minimalist artist Dan Flavin: "There is no greater pleasure in life than opening a good looking box".
It did its job well, its simple yet elegant brown cardboard drew me in to the sticker attached to its front, where my name was printed. It made me feel important. Wanted. Like I was significant. It performed its duties as a delivery box with exemplary grace.
Opening the box revealed a very sexy receipt. In one glance it lets you know that this is no mere product from your corner store, but in a class of its own. I give it 9/10.
Ray Ban casing. What can I say. Love it.
Opening the casing for the spectacles must be one of my best moments. I would rate it just below entering Narnia for the first time.
I hope you enjoyed the unboxing of my new spectacles as much as I did. I will leave you for today, but before I go I simply have to show you how they look on me. I look rather dashing, if I may say so myself.
Good night, and stay tuned for more posts about me and my spectacles!
